Use the Immediate Live option to launch a live stream at any time. You can launch the live

stream by enabling the On Air status on the Live Webcasting page and enabling the Immediate

Live

checkbox for that player. This feature is unchecked by default. If you have an event

scheduled under

Upcoming Events or a session scheduled under the Webinar Manager, the

scheduler service will automatically enable the Streaming Status on Live webcasting page and

start pushing the stream at the appointed time—there is no need to check the

Immediate Live

box. Note that this live event will only play on players with the scheduled event added to the

associated playlist, unless

Immediate Live is checked. Also be aware that the live stream will

not play on any players with Live Streaming enabled if the Live Webcasting page is set to

On-Air.

Player Name

Use this page to add a player name and description and to select a playlist from the

dropdown. Each player can only have one playlist. Select a player (see below), make any

desired changes and click Submit before advancing to the next page.

Player Template

Select the player you wish to use and a preview will be automatically displayed on the right.

Each of the pre-defined templates is shown below (images not to scale).

JW Player The JW Player is a proprietary media player that uses Microsoft's

Silverlight technology to play Windows Media streams. If not

present, you will be prompted to download and install this player

Windows Media Player The Windows Media Player is available on most Windows desktops.
